PM wants some audio visual content costs repaid to foreign firms

MOSCOW, Mar 26 (PRIME) -- Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has ordered the government to analyze practice of other states to reimburse some foreign companies’ expenses on production of audio visual products and make proposals on creation of such mechanism by April 15, according to a document released on Tuesday on the government’s website.

“The Economic Development Ministry and the Culture Ministry with joint stock company Russian Export Center must analyze the practice of foreign states on returning some costs of foreign companies on production of audio visual content on their territory and submit proposals on introduction of the same mechanism in the Russian Federation by April 15, 2019,” the document read.

The document was created after a meeting of a state council on local film industry development on March 15.
